Metal Detector

Tablets/Capsules Inspection & Metal Detector is designed for the detection and removal of minute pieces of ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel metal contaminations. Such metal particles sometimes enter the products stream from deteriorating processing equipment components such as worn sieve wires or splintered dies punches. This metal detector detects and removes metallic contaminant automatically without production integration from main stream of tablets and capsules. A metallic contaminant in the product changes the high frequency field within the detector coil, which in turn active and operate a reject flap by means of a solenoid. The metallic contaminant is reliably rejected with very little loss of material due to the extremely fast and port activation of the reject flap. The Metal Detector chute can be quickly and easily dismantled for routine cleaning and product changeover. All components may be cleaned dry or wet, allowing optimal cleaning to be achieved and compliance with cGMP standards with all products contact parts made of SS 316 grade. This system can be combined with all high performance tablet compression machine and de-dusting systems. Adjustable operating height, angle and frame with lockable castors wheels allow for easily integration to any production facility.
